Cycling Philosophy
I always enjoyed riding a bike as a
child and often rode for the purpose of
transportation and enjoyment. My
love of cycling was heightened when the
Peace Corps issued me a Trek
mountain bike for my service in Côte d’Ivoire,
West Africa. I now regularly
commute to and from work and school on my
hybrid trail bike.
I believe cycling can provide one of
the most enjoyable forms of transportation and
exercise when done safely. As
suggested by the League of American Bicyclists,
cyclists fare best when they are
courteous, alert, visible, assertive, and predictable.
A person can only ever be
responsible for their own behavior so it is imperative to
try and bring out the best in others
by setting a positive example.
I am willing to work with men,
women, and children of any age or riding ability.
I am very flexible in meeting each
individual’s needs.
